Description
Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray Convertible IMSA GTLM Championship Edition is a version dedicated to the 2020 victory of the Corvette Racing team in the GT Le Mans category of the American IMSA racing series. This was the debut season for the eighth generation Chevrolet Corvette C8.R.
There are no technical improvements; all convertibles are standard equipped with the Z51 package.
The Championship Edition road cars are externally styled after the C8.R racing cars with tail numbers 3 and 4: they have a similar livery and yellow brake calipers. Includes a Carbon Flash raised wing and mirror caps in the same finish, yellow brake calipers, black sill guards, mud flaps, and a car cover with Corvette Racing graphics. Also included are Black Trident wheels with black lug nuts, a Corvette Racing logo on the center caps, and C8.R Edition lettering on the rear fender.
The interior features sports seats, yellow seat belts, plenty of contrasting decor and a commemorative plaque between the seats. The model is based on the 3LT trim level.
Additional payment for the IMSA GTLM Championship Edition is $6,600. It is planned to produce only 1000 cars, and exclusively with left-hand drive.
