Description
The first photos of the convertible were shown during the presentation of the coupe, but it was officially presented to the media on October 2, 2019 at the Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida. At the same event, a racing version of the Corvette C8.R was shown, which should participate in the GTE class.
Technically, the convertible differed only in the presence of a convertible top, which was powered by an electric drive. It can be folded behind the driver in 16 seconds. In this body variant, the weight of the vehicle is increased by approximately 40 kg compared to the coupé.
