Bentley Continental GTC (Mk3) Mulliner Number 1 Edition

    Description

    The exclusive Bentley Continental GTC Number 1 Edition is the work of Mulliner customization, inspired by the 1929 Bentley Blower racing car built by Sir Henry Birkin for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which raced as number one. Featuring a supercharged 4½-litre engine and a lightweight aluminum body, the original No. 1 Blower delivered incredible performance for its time, setting the speed record at the Brooklands circuit in 1932. In 2012, one of five copies went under the hammer for £5,042,000, making the Blower the most expensive British-made car.

    One of the unusual features of the project is a fragment of the original sports car piston, hidden in a three-way rotating display. In addition, the Number 1 Edition features 18-karat gold plated fender badges, a special clock dial design on the front panel, and aluminum, black veneer, gold and Alcantara interior trim. The radiator grille is decorated with a unit; on the sills there are inserts with the name of the special series.

    All cars in the collection also feature the Bentley Centenary Specification, which includes badging on the rear, wheel, gear lever, steering wheel and key housing, as well as a special welcome lighting design. The picture is complemented by jewelry inlay on the fuel tank and oil filler caps.

    Like the standard Bentley Continental GTC, the collector's convertible is powered by a six-liter W12 engine producing 635 hp. and 900 N∙m in combination with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It reaches a hundred in 3.8 seconds and can accelerate to a maximum of 333 kph.
