Description
In 2003, rumors began to circulate online about the possibility of selling one unit of TVR Cerbera Speed 12 under the symbol W112 BHG with a red body. Soon the deal took place, but, nevertheless, the buyer wished to remain anonymous. It was rumored that he was a certain British car enthusiast with experience, who already had in his garage numerous, rare works from all over the world, the cost of which often exceeded the million euro mark. Before receiving the car at his disposal, a meeting took place between the buyer and the head of the company, during which the first preparations of the car for sale began. In 2004, he was offered two options for fine-tuning: either to make the car as powerful and playful as possible, or to make it a weaker version, but better adapted to daily use. The buyer chose the second option, as a result of which the power was reduced by 80 hp, falling to 880 hp. And since its development was carried out in the strictest secrecy, the public was able to see the official premiere of the Cerbera Speed 12 with the W112 BHG index only in 2006 in London at the British International Motor Show.
Since TVR didn't have the monocoques from the road-going Speed 12, they took the racing body from the GT1 prototype and brought it to the road version. At the same time, the weight decreased and amounted to 975 kg. Since downforce has increased due to the appearance of additional air intakes and a massive wing, the acceleration time to 100 kph has been reduced to 3 seconds, and the top speed has dropped to 340 kph.
Built in 2004, the TVR Cerbera Speed 12 cost its owner £245,000.
