TR Supercars Speed 12 Turbo

In 2018, Helical Technology introduced the Speed 12 Turbo (previously known as the TVR Speed 12 Turbo) under the TR Supercars brand, which was the reincarnation of the legendary TVR Cerbera Speed 12 after almost two decades.

The supercar was designed, developed, built and tested by a team of former TVR engineers. Despite the fact that the car was similar to the original model, it was nevertheless a completely new development.

According to information from various sources, the Aston Martin V12 engine was used as the power plant. This 6-liter engine with twin turbocharging and dry sump produced 1012 hp. and 834 Nm of torque, which was transmitted to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. Of particular note is the electronically valved titanium exhaust system, developed by Helical Technology, which gives the true roar of a multi-cylinder engine.

With such power, the supercar was able to accelerate to 100 kph in 3.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 351 kph.

In addition, the car received a fully adjustable independent suspension, carbon-ceramic brakes, 19-inch wheels with a central nut at the front and 20-inch at the rear. Which were shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Anti-lock and traction control were also included as standard.

The chassis was a steel tubular frame with a carbon fiber body. The body had significant differences from the TVR Cerbera Speed 12. Thus, the rear part of the body was redesigned: the bumper began to protrude slightly more than the original, a large wing was installed on the trunk lid, and new tail lights were taken from the Citroën C4 Cactus. The front part became more aggressive, with discreet headlights and a wider grille. The side skirts have also been updated to a larger, more streamlined design with vents at the front and an exhaust system at the rear.

The interior also gets a modern touch containing a full instrument cluster, a modern dashboard with a dual-tone paint job. It was proposed to adapt the interior decoration to the individual tastes of each owner.

The Speed 12 Turbo was planned to begin production in 2019 with an estimated price of £1.2 million and limited edition in both left-hand and right-hand drive.
