Koenig KS8 Turbo II

Koenig-Specials KS8 Turbo II is a deep modernization of the production model BMW 850CSi (E31 body) with a 5.5-liter V12 engine.

A total of 12 copies of all modifications were built. One of the cars in black went to the collection of the Sultan of Brunei, a famous lover of rare cars.

The main modernization of the engine consisted in equipping the 12-cylinder block with a mechanical supercharger in the collapse of the cylinders and an intercooler behind the front bumper. Instead of two air filters, one straight-through was installed. The exhaust system has also been replaced. As a result of improvements, power increased from 380 to 510 hp.

Stiffer springs and shock absorbers appeared in the chassis, the ground clearance was reduced by 30 mm and wide wheels were installed: 245/40 R17 in front, 335/35 R17 in the rear.

As a result of improvements, the maximum speed of the car increased to 310 kph, and acceleration from standstill to hundreds was reduced from 6.0 to 5.5 s.

The body received a new plastic body kit that covered almost the entire body – false wings, false thresholds, false door panels, developed bumpers and a rear wing. All BMW logos have been removed, as have the signature nostrils.

There were practically no changes in the interior, except for the installation of a new three-spoke steering wheel.
