Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray Convertible Indy 500 Pace Car

The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible Indy 500 Pace Car is the pace car of the 105th Indianapolis 500. This was the 32nd time Chevrolet has delivered a pace car and the 18th time since 1978 for the legendary Corvette. The Corvette convertible is the first convertible Indy 500 pace car since the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. This may be because the convertible makes up 41 percent of Corvette sales in the 2021 model year.

The car is finished in Arctic White, which is paired with a black convertible top and a host of unique graphics. Black and yellow racing stripes run across the top of the Corvette race car, and the sports car's sides feature the 105th "Indy 500" logo. To show off the performance of the C8, Chevrolet also opted to equip this pace car with the Z51 Performance Package, complete with an optional 5VM aero kit and a High Wing spoiler. The body kit is also painted in a unique yellow paint. Not wanting to compromise the style of its mid-engined sports car, GM also found a way to integrate the necessary lighting elements directly into the nacelles, headlights, louvers and taillights.
