Bentley Continental GT (Mk3) V8

    Description

    The Bentley Continental GT V8 was introduced in 2019 and was a Continental GT model equipped with a V8 engine instead of the base W12.

    Engine

    The installed V8 was different from the previous generation Continental GT and represented the engine of a new family, also installed on the Bentley Bentayga crossover and other powerful models of the Volkswagen group.

    The new generation 4.0-liter 32-valve gasoline engine developed 550 hp. and 770 N∙m of torque and was equipped with twin turbochargers located inside the cylinder camber. It offered a top speed of 318 kph and acceleration from 0-100 kph in 4.0 seconds. The engine was also equipped with partial cylinder shutdown systems (occurring in 20 milliseconds) and Stop-Start, which resulted in a power reserve of 865 km on one tank.

    Transmission

    Like the model with the W12 engine, a ZF 8DT robotic gearbox was installed here, which transmitted torque to all wheels in a ratio of 38/62 in comfort mode, and 17/83 in sport mode.

    Chassis

    The chassis, as in the W12 model, received a three-chamber air suspension. Optionally, Bentley Dynamic Ride is an innovative roll control technology that continuously monitors road conditions and adjusts the anti-roll bars to improve handling and ride comfort.

    The car was equipped with 20-inch 10-spoke painted alloy wheels. For an additional fee, a choice of nine other wheel models up to 22 inches was offered.

    Brake system

    For an additional fee, it was possible to install carbon-ceramic brakes with black or red calipers.

    Exterior

    Visually, the V8 version can be distinguished from older versions by four exhaust pipes instead of two oval ones, corresponding badges and 20-inch wheels.

    Interior

    The car's interior also featured a fully digital instrument panel and Bentley rotating display and a 10-speaker Bentley audio system delivering 650 watts of power. Additional options and leather interior colors were available for an extra charge.
