Description
In June, Rhys Millen, driving a stock Bentley Continental GT, was able to climb 4,300 meters above sea level on the 19.99-kilometer Race to the Clouds track in just 10 minutes and 18.488 seconds. Thus, Rhys updated both personal and world records: now the GT from Bentley is considered the fastest car on this very dangerous track.
On this occasion, Crewe decided to build 15 exclusive copies of the Continental GT, providing them with appropriate distinctions. The color scheme became the main one: the body of the coupe received a special Radium Green color from the Mulliner studio, a similar shade of Acid Green brake calipers, stitching on the seats in the cabin, and even markings on Pirelli P Zero Color Edition tires stretched on 22-inch Mulliner Driving Specification wheels.
In addition, the coupe received a special carbon body kit, and the number "100" on the grille – a symbol of the brand's centennial anniversary - was offered as an option.
The interior was trimmed with Alcantara with contrasting Radium stitching, the logo of the famous track is embroidered on the headrests of the seats, and carbon was actively used in the design of the front panel and other hard surfaces. Each coupe featured graphics on the front of each coupe with a segment of the Pikes Peak track, with each coupe selected its own section.
The power unit of the Continental GT Pikes Peak was not touched: it was with him that the coupe became the owner of the record title. W12 with a volume of 6 liters develops 635 hp. and 900 Nm of torque, accelerating the Grand Tourer from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.7 seconds and further to 333 kph.
