Anliker Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren «999 Red Gold Dream»

Swiss businessman Uli Anliker realized his crazy fantasy: he created a real monster out of a Mercedes McLaren SLR. He spent more than ten million Swiss francs and 30,000 man-hours of work on this. The creation was named Anliker Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren "999 Red Gold Dream".

The standard 5.4-liter engine of the Mercedes McLaren SLR has undergone a major upgrade, resulting in an increase in power from 640 to 999 hp, which increased the maximum speed to 350 kph.

But the refinement of the engine is not the most interesting thing in this supercar. Just look at the appearance, and immediately everything will become clear. The car body is painted in 25 layers of red paint, in which 5 kilograms of gold dust were diluted and decorated with 600 rubies with a diameter of up to 35 mm. The headlights, as well as the edges of the outer windows, were completely covered with tinted gold foil. Also, the car received a transparent section of the roof, which can be removed and stored under the rear window. This, by the way, did not affect the rigidity of the body.

The car received an external aerodynamic body kit in the style of Asma Design, which not only improves the appearance, but, according to the developers, significantly increases downforce at a speed of 350 kph. So, the front spoiler increases the downforce by 100 kg, the rear spoiler, coupled with the rear wing, by another 80 kg. The original side exhaust pipes have been lengthened and insulated and, when viewed upwards, terminate in side sills behind the doors, signed with a gold-plated Ueli Anliker logo. Modifications to the entire exhaust system give the SLR a more pleasing sound.

The protruding direction indicators on the exterior mirrors have been replaced with new, elegantly designed LEDs. LEDs were also installed as position lights at the front (128 white LEDs) and at the rear. In total, almost 600 LEDs were installed throughout the car.

The entire interior was covered in familiar colors with gold leather and matching red. All the dials and gauges on the dashboard are finished with precious stones, the seat covers and most of the interior are covered in gold paint, and the gear knob is studded with rubies. The gearshift buttons on the steering wheel have been replaced with their F1 counterparts, paddle shifters.
